I enjoy teaching Advocates to be the best that they can be in their roles. It is truly an honor to be able to listen to their vulnerabilities. I take that it is scary and these advocates trust me with that.
“In the process of helping youth, you get the opportunity to meet and engage with individuals you might not normally who’ve had experience that you haven’t…”
“I believe that I have made a difference by consistently showing up and being able to paint a whole picture of a child’s story.”
“When you become a Child Advocate however, because you are outside of the system, you can look at the big picture and move about the system freely to decide where you want to make the biggest difference.”
